Importance of exercise
The importance of exercise when losing weight is vital. Dieting or slimming pills alone will just not give the desired results. Yes, it is possible to lose weight by dieting, but to achieve a toned physique, firm skin and strong muscles, exercise is the key. Exercising doesn’t have to be expensive. There is no need to pay for a gym membership when there is the great outdoors or objects inside the house that can help you achieve that ideal beach body.
Anyone who loves nature can go for a bike ride or a jog at the local park. Those who are new to exercise or who have a lot of weight to lose may want to start with walking and build up from there. Walking however needs to be at a pace that is faster than a normal walking pace, as it needs to get the heart pumping within a few minutes of starting the walk. The length of walk can also be built up and although this is a personal preference, the length of the walk can either be in distance or in time.
If choosing to measure by distance, pick out landmarks along the route and aim to reach them, and then walk back home, going a little further every few days. The only downside to this method is if you opt to change the route, but it is a great way for a beginner to start. Those choosing to time themselves might want to walk at a brisk pace for 5-10 minutes to begin with and then increase by 5 minutes each week.
